Sciton MicroLaser Peel

The MicroLaser Peel is ideal for total skin rejuvenation. The Sciton utilizes a short-pulsed Erbium laser to ablate the outer layers of the skin at precise depths. We offer these "peels" from 10 – 50+ microns. This treatment delivers excellent results for poor skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, sun-damage, etc. One 10- micron MicroLaser Peel is the equivalent of 4-6 microdermabrasion treatments. You may experience 1-7 days of redness, swelling, and/or peeling with this procedure depending on the depth.Depending on the depth of the treatment, patients can typically wear makeup within 2 – 4 days of the treatment.

Sciton ProFractional Laser Treatment

ProFractional is a laser procedure used for dramatically improving the overall appearance of your skin including wrinkles, scars, tone and texture. ProFractional uses a laser microbeam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin and because only a fraction of the skin is directly treated with the laser, healing time is quick and downtime is short. You may experience some pinpoint bleeding for a short time immediately following treatment accompanied by 2-4 days of redness and/or peeling with this procedure depending on the depth. We may recommend anywhere from 1-5 treatments depending on your skin and schedule.

Advanced BBL Treatments

King Dermatology offers the most advanced and widest variety of BBL (broadband light) technology. BBL treatment is often called photorejuvenation or photofacial. It is the new gold-standard for the treatment of hyperpigmentation, sun-damage, rosacea, vascular lesions, active acne, and even collagen rejuvenation for improved skin texture and tone. You may notice positive changes even after your very first session. We recommend an initial series of 3-5 treatments, one every three-four weeks. Depending on the condition of the skin, more treatments may be necessary. Many people maintain their results by using a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and they may choose to have additional maintenance BBL treatment every 6-18 months.

SkinTyte

The Sciton SkinTyte is the latest and most effective procedure available to actually "tighten" loose and sagging skin. Delivering light and heat energy deep into the dermis, SkinTyte creates collagen retraction AND collagen remodeling. As your body reacts to the series of treatments, skin is lifted and tightened. This procedure is great for the face, neck, and abdomen. A series of 5-6 treatments is recommended, once every 2 – 4 weeks. With no need for a topical anesthetic, the energy is delivered in rapid, gentle pulses to promote contraction and partial coagulation of the collagen, initiating the body’s natural healing process, leading to the appearance of firmer tissue.Patients will be comfortable throughout treatment.

Photodynamic Broadband Light (Blue Light)

PBBL is an advancement in light-based treatment. Blue light therapy is most commonly used to treat sun damage and premalignant or malignant skin cancer growths. It can actually be used to prevent skin cancer and remove both precancerous skin lesions and cancerous skin lesions that haven’t spread to other areas of the body (or metastasized). Blue light therapy can also treat other types of skin disorders. It can be used to improve skin texture and reduce sebaceous hyperplasia, or enlarged oil glands. It can help with removing sun spots, acne, and even scars that were originally caused by acne. We use the topical solution Levulan which we apply to the skin 30-45 minutes prior to the treatment. Clinical studies have shown that we can achieve in one treatment of PBBL what normally takes us 3-4 treatments with traditional BBL. Blue light therapy uses light to treat certain conditions on or just under the skin. Blue light therapy can only treat areas that the light can reach. So it’s typically used to treat conditions present on, or just underneath, the surface of the skin. It’s considered a pain-free procedure. With PBBL, you will have 48-hours of strong sun sensitivity as well as stronger redness of the skin. If you can afford to have these 48-hours of "downtime", the results are the best you can achieve.

Antifungal Laser Nail Therapy

King Dermatology offers a cutting edge laser therapy that is 88% effective in treating toenail fungus. An infection of nail fungus occurs when fungi infect one or more of your nails. A nail fungus infection may begin as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the nail fungus spreads deeper into your nail, it may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and develop crumbling edges - an unsightly and potentially painful problem. The Sciton 1064 Nd Yag laser allows a quick and painless treatment of fungus embedded in the nail bed and nail plate. A new nail will grow free of infection, slowly replacing the infected portion of your nail.

*For optimum results the treatment should be repeated in six months.
